Info

Ultrasound confirms a normal right kidney. There is a well-identified, focal, left renal cortical bulge with no associated suspicious mass lesion. There is no renal tract obstruction, no features to suggest complicated pyelonephritis and no perinephric collections.
Case Discussion
Features consistent with a typical dromedary hump. This normal variant is due to the splenic impression onto the superolateral left kidney. Underlying occult renal mass lesions must always be excluded in these instances.
