Lungs and pleural spaces are clear. Cardiomediastinal contour is normal. No hardware failure or evidence of displaced rib fractures.
Case Discussion
This procedure is a reverse Nuss, with the bar lying superficially to the sternum to pull the sternum towards the spine and is one of the surgical treatment options for pectus carinatum.
It is the opposite for a Nuss procedure for pectus excavatum.
