Left inferior hip dislocation with subtle indentation of the superior surface of femoral head by the anterolateral margin of obturator foramen.
No fracture of acetabulum.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent closed reduction. Hip dislocation is a relatively rare entity and may be congenital or acquired. There are numerous patterns of dislocation:
- posterior hip dislocation (most common ~85%)
-
anterior hip dislocation (~10%)
- inferior type (obturator)
- superior type (pubic/iliac)
