Proximal and middle esophageal dilatation with distal irregular severe narrowing with shouldering appearance are present in favor of tumoral infiltration of distal esophagus. (path proven)
Case Discussion
Pseudoachalasia is achalasia-pattern dilatation of the esophagus due to the narrowing of the distal esophagus from causes other than primary denervation. The most common cause of pseudoachalasia is malignancy (often submucosal gastric cancer) with extension in the lower esophagus.
