Study shows a persistent right trigeminal artery giving rise to the posterior circulation with hypoplastic vertebrobasilar system present.
Case Discussion
Persistent trigeminal artery is a persistent carotid-vertebrobasilar anastomosis. Fetal trigeminal artery supplies the posterior circulation in utero before the development of the vertebrobasilar system.
