Presentation
Follow up in clinic
Patient Data
Pin and plate internal fixation of the right femoral neck with evidence of healing subtrochanteric osteotomy. The femoral head head is dysplastic and there is a lesser trochanter exostosis.
The left proximal femur is expanded by a large sessile exostosis and there is accompanying coxa vara.
Small right and large left iliac wing exostoses.
Sacrum and lower lumbar vertebrae are spared.
Case Discussion
Multiple exostoses in keeping with diaphyseal aclasia.
Although not included in the clinical history, the right proximal femoral osteotomy would have been performed to improve femoral head coverage and there was likely a large proximal femoral exostosis.
