Severe left side abdominal pain and fever.

A large diverticulum of the jejunum to the left of the midline of the abdomen, filled with retained food matter. Swelling of the jejunal wall and inflammation of the adjacent fat with probable abscess formation.
There is also a diverticulum of the posterior wall of the stomach and multiple jejunal diverticula filled with contrast.
Additional findings: multiple sigmoid diverticula, small aneurysm of the splenic artery, small calculus of the gallbladder and a paraumbilical fatty hernia transmitting omental fat.
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates jejunal diverticulosis with diverticulitis and gastric diverticulum.
