Right lateral ventricular body subependymal band of abnormal signal with nodularity seen indenting its wall. It elicits isointense signal to grey matter in all pulse sequences with no enhancement in post-contrast study.
Case Discussion
Subependymal grey matter heterotopia, is the most common form of grey matter heterotopia and is characterized by nodules of grey matter located immediately beneath the ependyma of the lateral ventricles.
Differential diagnoses include:
- subependymal tubers of tuberous sclerosis
- subependymal mass (as subependymoma)
