Download
Info

Air space opacity with air bronchogram is present at right upper and middle lobes. There are also diffuse ground glass centrilobular nodules at right upper and lower lobes as well as left lung base.
Degenerative changes as osteophytosis are seen at the thoracic spine.
Case Discussion
Features are typical for pneumonia.
Air bronchogram refers to the phenomenon of air-filled bronchi being made visible by the opacification of surrounding alveoli. It is almost always caused by a pathologic airspace/alveolar process, in which something other than air fills the alveoli.
