Patient Data

Thyroid US reveals thyroid gland to be of normal size with multiple small nodules more pronounced at the right thyroid lobe. However, the site of the chief complaint was scanned and revealed normal parotid gland and what seems to be enlargement of the sternocleidomastoid muscle. CT is recommended for further evaluation.

CECT neck reveals a purely fatty lesion at the inferior portion of the right parotid gland extending inferiorly into the anterior neck triangle and shows intimate relation to the anterior surface of the right sternocleidomastoid muscle. No enhancing soft tissue component is seen.
