Presentation

Left flank pain and fullness.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
ct

A 180×155×168 mm fat density mass is present at left retroperitoneum that displaces left kidney superolaterally. 

The hepatic attenuation value is less than of the spleen, suggesting fatty liver disease. 

A few tiny stones less than 3 mm are seen at left kidney.

The prostate gland is enlarged.

Case Discussion

The patient underwent surgical resection of fat density retroperitoneal mass and histopathologic evaluation confirms retroperitoneal lipoma without sarcomatous changes.
