Patient Data

Age: 1 day
Gender: Male

The right hemithorax is expanded by a cystic mass lesion with mediastinal shift to the left.

10 months later the child has similar appearances to the previous imaging with a hyper-expanded right lung and mediastinal shift.

There is regional hyperinflation on the right which is not confined to one lobe or segment. Vascularity is normal.

Case Discussion

Regional right-sided hyperinflation is not confined to a lobe or segment and crosses fissural boundaries. The vascularity of both lungs appears normal.
