Hepatic, splenic and pulmonary hydatid cysts

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Work up for fever, cough and abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 35 years
Gender: Male

Multiple hepatic cysts with hypoattenuating rim.

Single large splenic cyst.

Intermediate attenuation cyst in the middle lobe of the right lung with adjacent collaps/consolidation.

Small cyst in the left lower lobe.

Case Discussion

The findings are consistent with multiple pulmonary, hepatic and splenic hydatid cysts (serologically proven).
