Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

Contrast CT images show a heterogeneously enhancing gastric mass lesion with exophytic, cystic and an endophytic, solid component.

Multiple large variably sized hepatic hypodensities with portal vein thrombosis and periportal cavernoma formation.

Case Discussion

Laprotomy and biopsy done, tumor at presentation was unresectable, and histopathologically proven as a malignant gastrointestinal stromal tumor. Post chemotherapy now shows cystic changes within the previously heterogenous predominantly solid hepatic metastasis.
