Presentation
The patient underwent a chest X-ray examination for cough and intercostal pain.
Patient Data



On X-ray, a left mediastinal widening is appreciated.
The lung parenchyma does not show any significant changes.
Supplementation with CT examination is recommended.



On CT examination without contrast medium, a hypodense oval nodule in the left paramedian mediastinum is appreciated, with some calcification in the context and thin, yeast-like patches.

Case Discussion
On chest X-ray for cough and chest pain, an occasional finding was left paramedian mediastinal widening.
A non-contrast CT scan revealed a hypodense nodularity with contextual calcifications in the left paramedian mediastinal area.
The patient underwent a TC examination with contrast at another clinic.
He underwent removal of the nodule with a histological finding of malignant thymoma.
He underwent a follow-up X-ray 2 months after surgery.
