Foot radiographs demonstrate:
- absence of the 4th finger of the right foot
- agenesis of the 3rd metatarsal with hypoplasia of the phalanxes and presence of a rudimentary left 3rd digit
Case Discussion
Oligodactyly is a congenital maldevelopment due to anomalous differentiation of the apical ectodermal ridge, leading to the absence of one or more digits.
