Multiple expanded lucent bone lesions in metacarpals, phalanges and distal radius. The distal ulna is also affected, although it is less pronounced. There is cortical disruption at multiple sites although there is no periosteal reaction.
There is no soft-tissue calcification. Appearances are of Ollier disease.
Case Discussion
There are multiple enchondromas of the long bones of the hand (radius, metacarpals and phalanges). Appearances are of multiple enchondromatosis (also called Ollier disease). The differential here would be of Maffucci syndrome where you would expect to see soft-tissue calcification in slow-flow soft-tissue vascular malformations.
