Case Discussion
Pancreas divisum is the commonest variant of pancreatic ducts. It results from failure of fusion of dorsal and ventral pancreatic anlages. As a result, the dorsal pancreatic duct (forming the main pancreatic duct) drains most of the pancreatic glandular parenchyma via the minor papilla. The small ventral duct unites with the CBD and drains at the major papilla.
