Case Discussion
A lipoma is a benign tumor composed of mature adipocytes, and is the most common soft tissue tumor seen is approximately 2% of the population.
Lipomas are rarely encountered in the pancreas. They often are diagnosed coincidentally as small, well-circumscribed, encapsulated, homogeneous, mature adipose masses on imaging studies 1.
Imaging follow-up strategy or histopathologic confirmation is not necessary in asymptomatic patients 1.
