There is a focus of gray matter heterotopia (axial, coronal, sagittal) lining the atrium of the right lateral ventricle. The hippocampal formations are symmetric and unremarkable. There is no evidence of mesial temporal sclerosis.

Case Discussion

This is a case of subependymal gray matter heterotopia. Gray matter heterotopia is a known cause of seizures (and other neurodevelopmental disorders) 1.

The patient was started on anti-epileptics and followed with neurology as an outpatient.
