The right thyroid lobe is hugely enlarged in size with retrosternal extension. Almost replaced by large markedly hypoechoic soft tissue lesion and inseparable from the surrounding strap muscles. The mass is seen infiltering the isthmus and crossing to the left lobe.
There is encasement of the right common carotid artery, which appears mildly attenuated with no evidence of occlusion. Mild compression of the right internal jugular vein (IJV) with echogenic filling defect IJV thrombosis.
There is also compression of the right anterolateral trachea region, with mild tracheal displacement and mild airway narrowing.
Multilevel pathologically enlarged discrete lymph nodes.
Case Discussion
Pathologically proven thyroid lymphoma.
