Presentation

Long history of ulcerative colitis.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
ct

The colon appears thick walled and featureless, predominantly at distal portions. Loss of colonic haustration is present. No focal wall thickening or mass lesion is noted. Pericolic fat stranding and several prominent lymph nodes are also observed more prominent at peri cecal and peri sigmoid regions. 

In imaged portions of lower thorax, foal pleural based opacities are seen at posterobasal segments, bilaterally.

Known case of ulcerative colitis with lead pipe appearance of colon due to loss of haustration (better seen on barium study).
