Lung adenocarcinoma

Presentation

Work up for cough and hemoptysis.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Male
ct

A 58×51 mm mass with an irregular margin and inhomogeneous enhancement is noted in the left upper lobe. Additionally, a few small subpleural nodules, less than 6 mm, are present at the same lobe. There are also several atelectatic bands scattered bilaterally. 

Post-operative changes are seen due to sternotomy and CABG.

Case Discussion

Left lung mass pathology proved adenocarcinoma, the most common histologic type of lung cancer.
