A 37× 23 mm exophytic soft tissue density well-defined mass is noted in the distal portion of the gastric greater curvature.
The gallbladder is not seen at the anatomical location due to prior resection.
CBD is dilated up to 10 mm without CT-detectable distal stone or enhancing mass.
A few subcentimeter simple cortical cysts are seen in the kidneys.
A sliding hiatal hernia is present.
Case Discussion
An exophytic well-defined soft tissue density mass in the stomach could suggest a gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST), the most common mesenchymal tumor of the gastrointestinal tract.
The most common primary sites of GIST include the stomach and small intestine.
