A well-defined anterior mediastinal rounded opacity with peripheral thin linear calcification.

CT shows a large cystic lesion in the right anterior mediastinum with homogeneous fluid-density content. Peripheral curvilinear and punctate wall calcifications were noted. There is a mass effect to the adjacent structures, but invasion to adjacent structures are not definite.
Case Discussion
Features consistent of bronchogenic cyst. Bronchogenic cysts may be mediastinal or intrapulmonary in nature.
Differential considerations include
- calcified hematoma
- calcified abscess
- calcified aneurysm
- pericardial cyst
