Atrophy of the neck and body of pancreas with extensive calcification, particularly in the tail. Main pancreatic duct is dilated. No peripancreatic fat stranding. Liver, spleen, adrenal glands and kidneys all have a normal appearance. Cholecystectomy clips.
Case Discussion
Past history acute pancreatitis, 7-8 years prior. Lipase within normal limits at this presentation. Features of chronic pancreatitis: atrophy, calcification and main pancreatic duct dilatation.
