Download
Info

Dilated small bowel loops due to stricture in the terminal ileum with local adhesion and associated mesentery being incarcerated in the left inguinal hernia. There is also segmental small bowel wall thickening (7mm) with white enhancement and mesenteric edema (suggestive of early ischemic changes). The large bowel is collapsed, with the ascending colon pushed medially by the dilated small bowel loops.
Case Discussion
Small bowel obstruction due to incarceration of mesentery associated with distal most part of the ileum.
