Heterogeneous mass within the left thyroid lobe, predominantly hypoechoic compared to thyroid parenchyma associated with multifocal supraclavicular adenopathy. Note the microlobulated and irregular margins suggesting an aggressive behavior of this lesion. On color Doppler, this lesion had increased arterial flow.
Case Discussion
Microlobulated margins or scalloped appearance have been described as an indicator of malignancy or aggressive behavior.
