Under CT guidance the core-biopsy procedure using a co-axial 19/20G true-cut needle was performed, and four fragments were obtained. The previous diagnostic scan performed with IV contrast was used for planning purposes, such as the location of the mammary arteries.
Case Discussion
This case illustrates the planning and approach for a large and ill-defined mediastinal mass core biopsy guided by CT. Pathology has confirmed a large B-cell lymphoma.
