Colorectal cancer. 6 weeks of shortness of breath. Pleuritic chest pain.

Small right sided pleural effusion.

Multiple nodules and masses in the lungs measuring up to 5cm. The larger masses are cannonball like in appearance.

Small bilateral pleural effusions, larger on the right.

Extensive mediastinal lymphadenopathy.  The largest node in the right paratracheal region compressing the SVC.

No bone lesions.

Case Discussion

Extensive pulmonary metastases with a cannonball appearance.   This is best illustrated on the plain radiograph.

The patient has a colorectal primary.
