A 4 cm defect is present in the anteromedial aspect of right hemidiaphragm allowing intrathoracic herniation of omental fat and a segment of the transverse colon.
A few small scattered pulmonary nodules measure less than 4 mm.
Case Discussion
Features are consistent with Morgagni hernia containing transverse colon.
Morgagni hernias most often contain omental fat, but transverse colon (60%) or stomach (12%) may be included within the hernia.
