Info

A 48 x 40 mm well-defined mass with central necrotic changes is located between the gastric body and left liver lobe apparently originating from the gastric wall.
A few small hypo-attenuating lesions are seen at liver less than 5mm which show no obvious enhancement on delayed images most likely consistent with cysts.

Case Discussion

Upper abdominal mass - pathologically proven gastric gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST).
GISTs can occur anywhere along the gastrointestinal tract. The most common sites of involvement include the stomach (70%) and the small intestine (20-25%).
