Crohn disease

Abdominal pain , diarrhea and fever .

Patient Data

Age: 22
Gender: Male

There is long segment of moderate diffuse mural thickening (1-2 cms ) with enhancement involves the terminal ileum with prominent mesenteric edema and vasculature giving the ( comb sign ).

There is evidence of multiple enhanced small collections in the mesentery adjacent to the inflammed bowel loop with air and fluid contents consistent with abscesses  .   

Case Discussion

Known case of Crohn's disease with active inflammation of long segment of the terminal ileum and evidence of mesenteric abscesses and comb sign .
