Presentation
Work up for abdominal pain. Incidental finding.
Patient Data

A 60×48 mm well-defined lobulated mass with homogenous fat density and without calcification is noted in the spleen. A few fine septations are seen within.
Case Discussion
Features are compatible with splenic lipoma.
The spleen is an extremely rare location for lipoma. In general, lipomas are typically well-circumscribed round or ovoid masses with homogeneous imaging characteristics of fat. A thin capsule, very thin septations (<2 mm), and scattered small areas of soft tissue density are common.
It should be noted that, avidly enhancing, thick/nodular septa or evidence of local invasion are suggestive of malignancy and needs further evaluation.
