Mnemonic
- density change (subchondral osteopenia or sclerosis)
- destruction (osseous fragmentation and resorption)
- debris (intra-articular loose bodies)
- distension (joint effusion)
- disorganisation and dislocation (joint malalignment due to ligamentous laxity)
