Presentation
Abdominal pain, dysphagia and dyspepsia.
Patient Data
A 55×43 mm polypoid mass is present at the gastric fundus. There is no sign of local invasion to adjacent structures and no regional lymphadenopathy.
A 15 mm hypodense mass is noted at hepatic segment 6, showing early peripheral nodular enhancement and becoming isodense with surrounding parenchyma on delayed images. There are also two small hypodense lesions at hepatic segments 4b and 8 with similar characteristics.
Case Discussion
Gastric mass; pathology proved gastrointestinal stromal tumor, the most common mesenchymal tumor of the gastrointestinal tract that occurs anywhere along the gastrointestinal tract.
Common sites of involvement include the stomach (70%) and small intestine (20-25%).
