The MRI sequences demonstrate a low lying cord at L4-L5 level with a posterior midline lipomatous mass, containing neural tissue (placode-lipoma), extending into the spinal canal through a closed spinal dysraphism
Normal position of the cerebellar tonsils.
Case Discussion
MRI features of a lipomyelocele which is considered as one of the most common closed spinal dysraphism.
