Patient Data

Age: 8

Lumbar spine films demonstrate sclerotic metastases T10, T11, L2, L4 and L5. A large left upper quadrant mass with calcification is also present.

In addition to the vertebral metastases seen on plain film, intraspinal extension with cord compression and oedema are visible. A very large suprarenal mass with necrosis is also present.

CT confirms these findings, in addition demonstrating large secondary masses encasing the renal vessels on the left and surrounding the aorta. The largest mass, located above the kidney demonstrates calcification.
