Leukaemic infiltration of the liver can occur with several forms of leukaemia inclusive of acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), acute lymphoid leukaemia (ALL) and chronic myeloid leukaemia (CML).
Radiographic features
CT
Described features are non-specific but include:
- hepatomegaly
- periportal low attenuation
- periportal lymphadenopathy
Ultrasound
It is considered one of the causes of a starry sky appearance.
