Subeditors at Radiopaedia.org are members of the general editorial team who work predominantly in the domain of content development.

Responsibilities

Subeditors are predominantly involved in the development of content at Radiopaedia.org. They work with the site and sectionsenior editors to maintain the the content of Radiopaedia.org to the highest standard. Subeditors review articles and the cases attached to articles to ensure that the articles people rely on are up to date and complemented by the highest quality cases we can find.

The subeditor position allows people to learn about how to be an editor on Radiopaedia.org. The expectation is that a subeditor will remain in role for 3-6 months depending on how they get to grips with the reviewing and editing process. After this time, they will usually become an editor. 

How to become a subeditor

Subeditors are either appointed following an invitation from the senior editorial team, or by a request from a potential candidate to be considered for the role.

Invitation from the senior editorial team usually occurs when a user is actively involved in the development of Radiopaedia.org with regular case uploads and article edits that are high quality.
