Watchman device is is permanent left atrial appendage closure device which is percutaneously implanted to prevent embolizationembolisation of thrombus from the appendage into systemic circulation in cases of non valvular atrial fibrillation with contraindication to anticoagulation or high risk of life long use of anticoagulants.
Radiographic features:
Watchman device will be seen within left atrial appendage and on post contrast cross sectional imaging will shows non opacification of left atrial appendage.
