Evidence of an ill-defined irregular shaped (frond-like) synovial based intra-articular lesion, located within the suprapatellar bursa. It shows high signal intensity on T1 and T2 WIs associated with mild joint effusion, the findings in favor of an intra-articular lipoma arborescens.
Case Discussion
Lipoma arborescens is a rare condition affecting synovial linings of the joints and bursae. It accounts for less than 1% of all lipomatous lesions.
