Case Discussion

There is a focal subchondral low T2 and T1 signal intensity associated with surrounding vague edema at the medial femoral condyle with associated soft tissue edema. The overlying cartilage appears intact. The findings are suggestive of insufficiency fracture (in the spectrum of SONK) or related to trauma.
