Longstanding seizures

Gender: Male

Bilateral abnormal perisylvian cortical thickening which is compatible with polymicrogyria .

No schziencephaly. Normal septum pellucidum.

Case Discussion

Polymicrogyria is most commonly seen in perisylvian region and is bilateral in 60% of cases. This abnormality is often associated with schizencephaly and absence of septum pellucidum which is not presented in this case.
