Hyperechoic endometrial cavity with posterior ring down artifacts suggests gaseous stripe.

Case Discussion

Ultrasound imaging of the uterus after an endometrial procedure or uterine surgery can reveal gaseous features as echogenic foci with posterior reverberation artifacts. This may be confused with an intrauterine foreign body, gas-forming infections, or calcifications, but careful clinical correlation is very helpful.
