Presentation
Chronic left shoulder pain
Patient Data
A large multilocular cyst that connects to a small lesion in the posterior superior labrum and extends into the spinoglenoid notch and below the supraspinatus muscle to the suprascapular notch.
Bursal-sided partial thickness tear of the supraspinatus tendon.
Mild subacromial-subdeltoid bursitis and acromioclavicular joint osteoarthritis.
Case Discussion
Paralabral cyst of the shoulder can be unilocular or multilocular as in this case. The exact pathophysiology is not well known but may represent synovial, ganglion or pseudocyst. They are highly associated with glenoid labral tears.
