Pulmonary hydatid cysts

Diagnosis probable

Presentation

Chronic cough.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female
ct

29×27×24 mm mass like lesion with well defined lobulated margins and mean density of 5HU in the left upper lobe, accompanied with internal focal air densities. The mass in its upper portion is in contact with pleura. Mild peripheral patchy linear and nodular opacities area observed at apicoposterior segment of left upper lobe.

A 12×18 mm nodule also is present at superior segment of left lower lobe, with mean density of 2HU.

In imaged portion of the upper abdomen, post-operative changes of cystectomy and omental packing are seen at lateral aspect of the liver.

Regarding to the patient's history the features are compatible with hydatid cysts.
