The white matter in the periventricular / peritrigonal regions is thinned with undulation of the margins of the lateral ventricles compatible with periventricular leukomalacia.
Closed lip schizencephaly also is seen at the right high frontal lobe.
Case Discussion
This child had a history of a perinatal insult and had significant developmental delay. The pattern of white matter loss is typical of periventricular leukomalacia.
