Presentation

New onset of headache. Previous history of head trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Female
mri

Bilateral subdural collections along the convexity of both cerebral hemispheres compressing the frontoparietal lobes on both sides, resulting in relative volume loss.

High signal intensities in T1, T2 and FLAIR images. Drop out signals within these collections in T2* GRE images.

There are multiple septations within the collections bilaterally.

Case Discussion

Bilateral subacute to chronic subdural hematomas compressing the brain parenchyma. A craniotomy can be used to drain the hematomas.
