The transverse colon and splenic flexure are seen herniating into the left hemithorax through an anteromedial defect in the left hemidiaphragm (measuring about 6 cm). There is associated mild cardiac contralateral shift.
Case Discussion
The patient underwent CT chest for exclusion of COVID 19 viral pneumonia.
Diaphragmatic hernia was discovered incidentally.
